Hanoia is a well-known brand specializing in handcrafted lacquerware. Alongside their production expansion, they maintain strong commitments to preserving traditional craft and protecting the environment.
For this reason, we developed a design that simultaneously serves as a highly organized, efficient, and safe factory — meeting sustainable development standards — and as a workplace deeply connected to nature. A significant portion of the site is dedicated to greenery, and the project also functions as a center for preserving and promoting traditional crafts.
Within a modern, refined architectural form, we created an outdoor landscape-integrated exhibition area to offer a more comfortable and engaging experience for visitors and employees alike.
The main entrance to the office building is a covered corridor that cuts through a garden; its structure is stylized like a lacquered picture frame — referencing the factory’s signature product.
The office area includes working spaces, meeting rooms, small exhibition zones, and seminar rooms to support craft training and development activities.
The third floor features a canteen combined with a landscaped area — providing a relaxing space for workers to unwind.
