The existing site featured a water garden with a pond edged by natural stone. The client wished to build a small pavilion as a space for tea, conversation, and enjoying the scenery.
After extensive discussion and exploration, we designed a pavilion with soft, curved glass walls that gently follow the pond’s contour. Our goal was to make the structure as “transparent” as possible—minimizing visual obstruction and maintaining the view of the water.
The pavilion is partially built over the pond and partially on land. A glass terrace connects to the entrance path, allowing visitors to see the water from above. A spiral staircase leads to the rooftop, where one can enjoy the breeze.
Inside, a small bar counter offers a place to grab a coffee and unwind during a break.
